Zufall Health’s Children’s Oral Health Program (COHP) is funded through a grant from the New Jersey Department of Health and is implemented in northern and central New Jersey by a Regional Oral Health Coordinator employed by Zufall Health. View brochure.

Services

The Children’s Oral Health Program provides FREE educational programs and resources including:

  • Age-appropriate oral health education for:
    • Pre-K through 12th grade students
    • Parents
    • Community groups
    • Public health & social service professionals
  • School-based educational activities conducted by registered dental hygienists/dentists
  • Voluntary, school-based Fluoride Varnish program
  • Teaching kits and educational resources for school nurses
  • Oral health education for participants in the Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC)
  • Programs adapted for special needs children

  • Importance of regular dental visits
  • Healthy food & lifestyle choices
  • Dental fluoride, sealants, braces, athletic mouth guards
  • Oral effects of tobacco/vape use
  • Oral health injuries
  • Oral cancer & gum disease
  • Connection between oral health and overall health

In-person and virtual formats are offered for all oral health education programs.
