Say Thank You to Your Provider

Are you happy with your Zufall providers? Would you like to let them know how much you appreciate the care you receive?

On March 30, join with us in celebrating Provider’s Day, an annual observance to honor the health professionals who work so hard to keep us well. Click here to show your gratitude.

National Doctor’s Day was first observed in Winder, Georgia, on March 30, 1933 when Eudora Brown Almond, the wife of a prominent doctor, decided that her husband and fellow physicians deserved thank you cards for their good work. The date marked the anniversary of the first use of ether anesthesia by Dr. Crawford Long on March 30, 1842.

Over the years, the tradition of sending doctor’s greeting cards continued unofficially until 1990 when President George W. Bush signed legislations making March 30 a day of national observance.

If you’d like to participate, you can write something heartfelt that lets your providers know how much you appreciate what they do. Even a simple “thank you” will mean a lot to them.

Beyond Provider’s Day, the best way to show you care is to pay attention to your health. If you haven’t had your annual check-up, make an appointment today. Your commitment to a healthy lifestyle — eating right and exercising daily — is sure to bring a smile to your provider’s face.
