Early detection of cancer saves lives. Treating cancer is easier when it’s found early. Zufall Health offers:

No-Cost Screenings Through NJCEED
If you live in Morris or Somerset County and meet certain income and insurance eligibility requirements, we can help you pay for cancer screenings through New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED) funded by the New Jersey Department of Health. Our NJCEED staff can also help ease fears, explain the diagnosis and treatment processes, and eliminate delays when time is of the essence.

The ability to plan and anticipate your desired number of pregnancies is known as Family Planning. Planned pregnancies result in healthier babies and fewer medical problems and pregnancy-related deaths.
Family Planning at Zufall Health is available to adolescents and adults, regardless of gender, who are planning to become, or are currently, sexually active or planning a pregnancy. Services include:
- Contraceptive counseling and services to assist in preventing unintended pregnancies, and planning and spacing births
- Preventive health exams
- Affordable contraceptives
- Pregnancy testing and emergency contraceptives

While it is strongly recommended that minors (ages 13 – 17) speak to their parents or guardians about these important decisions, minors can legally access confidential family planning services without their parent or guardian’s permission.

We take the stress out of pregnancy so you and your family can focus on the joy of welcoming your new baby. Available at our Plainsboro and West Orange locations, our comprehensive Maternal Health program takes a team-based approach to support expectant mothers with:
- Routine prenatal checkups and screenings
- Education to prevent preterm labor, preeclampsia, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Mental health support during pregnancy and after delivery
- Nutrition guidance and healthy weight management
- Labor and delivery classes

Due to limited capacity, this program prioritizes patients who are uninsured or enrolled in Medicaid. To enroll, expectant mothers in Plainsboro must be 32 weeks pregnant or less, and those in West Orange must be 20 weeks pregnant or less.

The Zufall Health Mobile Medical resembles a standard doctor’s office with two fully-equipped medical exam rooms. Many of the services provided in a traditional medical office can also be provided on the van:

Are you concerned about your alcohol or drug use? We can help! Our services for substance use disorder (SUD) are part of your regular primary care. This means you can get help with your physical health, mental health, and substance use all in one place.
Our professional, compassionate health care team can help people of all ages if you want to stop or cut back on alcohol, opioids, or other drugs. We provide:
- Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) can help manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. MOUD can also prevent or reduce opioid overdose. Zufall offers FDA-approved oral and injectable buprenorphine (Suboxone, Sublocade, Brixadi), and injectable Naltrexone (Vivitrol). We don’t provide Methadone treatment but can help with referral to facilities who do.
- Medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD) can help people reduce or stop drinking by influencing brain chemistry. Zufall provides FDA-approved oral and injectable Naltrexone (Vivitrol), Disulfiram (Antabuse), and Acamprosate.
- One-on-one counseling with experienced counselors, in-person or through our telehealth service. Research shows that MOUD/MAUD works best when combined with counseling.
- Support services (counseling, education, referrals, and more) for other problematic substance use like marijuana and stimulants.
- Maternal Wraparound Program (M-WRAP) for pregnant/postpartum adults ages 18+ who are using or have recently used alcohol or drugs, including prescription opioids and MOUD. Services are provided during pregnancy and for up to one year after birth. M-WRAP is available through Zufall Health to residents of Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties only.
- Education and supplies for harm reduction and safer use such as intranasal Naloxone, Fentanyl test strips and more.
- Peer Recovery Support: Get guidance from someone with lived experience who understands the challenges of SUD.
- Case Management: A care team member helps you find and connect with services that support your health and daily life such as housing assistance, job resources, transportation, benefits applications, and referrals to community programs.

What does it cost to get a vaccine?
Vaccine costs will vary depending upon insurance coverage and vaccine type. Vaccines are available at no cost for those children ages 18 and younger who qualify through the Vaccines for Children Program.
How do I know what vaccines I need?
Zufall Health providers have information about the available vaccines, the recommended age groups, and boosters needed to maintain full protection. It’s important to have a discussion with your provider to understand if you are up to date with the recommended vaccines because recommendations can change over time.
Who should talk to a provider about special vaccine recommendations?
Patients who are immunocompromised or who have chronic illnesses such as heart and lung disease, kidney failure, liver disease, diabetes, AND people who are health care workers should speak with their providers about special vaccine recommendations.
How do vaccines work?
Vaccines help your body learn how to fight germs without making you sick. When you get a vaccine, it teaches your immune system to recognize and attack certain viruses or bacteria. That way, if you are exposed to the real illness later, your body is ready to protect you. Vaccines are a safe and easy way to prevent serious diseases like measles, flu, hepatitis, and COVID-19. Getting vaccinated also helps protect your family and community – especially those people too sick, too young or too old to get vaccinated.
