Fingerpainted Masterpiece Honors Dr. Bob and Kay Zufall

Nonprofit community health center Zufall Health was recently honored by healthcare marketing agency Fingerpaint Group with a remarkable tribute to its founders Robert “Dr. Bob” Zufall, MD, and Kathryn “Kay” Zufall.

On June 18, Fingerpaint Group leadership (Jenny McKenna, Chief of Staff, Fingerpaint Group; Tracy Blackwell, General Manager, Fingerpaint; and Dawn Contillo, SVP Group Account Director, Fingerpaint) presented Zufall President and CEO Fran Palm, MPA, and colleagues with an original four-by-five-foot fingerpainting of the Zufalls. The artwork was commissioned by Fingerpaint Group and created by renowned speed fingerpainter Cody Sabol during the MANNY Awards at Pier 61 in New York. Sabol, known for his rapid and lifelike fingerpainting skills, completed the masterpiece in just 10 minutes.

The timing is especially meaningful as it aligns with Dr. Bob’s recent passing in March and coincides with what would have been his 100th birthday month. Dr. Bob was predeceased by Kay, who passed away in 2014.

The painting will be displayed in Zufall’s West Orange facility at 49 Mount Pleasant Avenue, which opened its doors earlier this year. Palm emphasized that the gift also aligns with the health center’s philosophy of making patient spaces beautiful.

“We’re dedicated to ensuring our patients feel valued and respected. This beautiful addition to our state-of-the-art health center underscores that sentiment while keeping our history alive,” Palm said.
