Smiles for Our Heroes will return Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 49 Mount Pleasant Ave in West Orange!

In partnership with Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation, Zufall Health’s Smiles for Our Heroes event honors military veterans with free dental services along with health resources, activities, giveaways, and food. There are many ways to participate!

• Receive No-Cost Dental Services (For Eligible Veterans Only): The resource fair welcomes walk-ins, but registration is required for all dental services. Register online here or call Yanira at 973-325-2266 ext 1954.
• Volunteer: All volunteers must complete an application. Click here to apply! If you have questions, email SFOHvolunteers@zufallhealth.org. Positions available include: 
  • •  Volunteer dentists will provide direct patient care, including exams, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, dentures, and extractions. Full- and half-day shifts are available.
    • Non-clinical volunteers will assist with setup and cleanup, patient check-in and registration, creating an engaging and welcoming patient experience, serving food, and other general tasks as needed. Full-day and half-day shifts are available.
    • Shadowing students will observe dental teams as they restore smiles for low-income and uninsured veterans at no cost. Shadowing is strictly a learning opportunity and students will not provide hands-on patient care.
• Community partner tabling will allow organizations to engage veterans and their families with information on resources, services, and support programs.
