Zufall Celebrates National Health Center Week

national health center week

Zufall Health and health centers across the nation, are celebrating National Health Center Week August 13 – 19 with a week of activities to raise awareness about our mission and accomplishments.

It was a little more than 50 years ago that the first health centers were established by the federal government to improve the lives of people living in poverty and in desperate need of health care. Today, health centers are the family doctor for more than 25 million people in 9,800 rural and urban communities throughout America.

As one of the bright spots in our health care system, community health centers have built a significant record of success that includes:

-Producing $24 billion in annual health system savings
-Reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and unnecessary visits to the emergency room
-Providing quality health care at an affordable cost
-Maintaining patient satisfaction levels of nearly 100 percent

At Zufall, we are proud to be part of this national network that has become so vital to our communities and to the nation’s public health and invite you to join our celebration.
