To do that, we offer a variety of innovative, health and lifestyle-related programs to educate community members of all ages and help them improve their lives.
Learn the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) method of parenting your children. Classes are held in English and Spanish. Cancer Prevention and Screening
As part of the New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (NJCEED), Zufall staff is available to attend community events or meetings and give presentations focused on cancer prevention and education. Topics include healthy lifestyles, cancer screening guidelines, and the importance of early detection. Information for those cancers covered by the CEED program, including cervical, colorectal, breast, and prostate cancers, can be presented as a single topic or any combination of interest (e.g. breast only, breast, and cervical.).

Nutrition and Fitness Activities
Zufall Health offers many programs to help achieve a healthy lifestyle. Our nutrition workshops teach how to make good food choices as well as plan, shop for, and prepare healthy meals and snacks. Improving Pregnancy Outcomes Initiative
Community Health Workers of the Improving Pregnancy Outcomes Initiative are available to facilitate community health education to increase knowledge and awareness of healthy lifestyles for young women and families in Morris County. Topics include pre-conception care, healthy habits, infant health promotion, pregnancy, and parenting. To request a presentation, call 973-328-3344, ext. 307. The Zufall Intergeneratioal Program (ZIP) connects preschool children and seniors in the community to promote healthy lifestyles and medical and dental education through entertaining and engaging activities. Each child is paired with a “granfriend”, as together they learn about how to have fun while taking care of themselves.
Programs Hosted at Zufall
There are an assortment of classes and programs held at Zufall sites which are presented by other community organizations. These may include English As a Second Language and Citizenship classes, Food Stamp Eligibility sessions, Voter Registration activities, and information sessions on health and other pertinent topics.
